Jellyfish In Racing Green
On a wild and very windy day, I persevered in my war against the bunny's and planted another 25 Christmas trees (little green jellyfish). This involved yet another "protection" experiment. I suspect I have lost between 20-40% of the Christmas trees I have planted over the last 2-3 years. The spiral guards in year 2 have helped a little, but I was never sure if the damage was from deer (with few options of defence if it were) or rabbits. Having concluded that I think it is bunnies, at least I hope it is bunnies, I have tried some chicken wire fencing. It is all a learning experience. The little furry buggers had better not find their way under netting, I have pinned it down as best I can. The deer will be in there in seconds if they decide to, so this should at least prove who the culprit is.
